Simple Roots is a new brewery in Burlington, for more info read my review of their cream ale here. Allegany Pale Ale is the second beer I have tried from them and I liked the cream ale better. I prefer really hoppy pale ales and I don’t think that is what they were going for with this one.
Appearance is darker than I expected with a deep orange and thick off white head. Aroma is dominated by the sweet malts. Taste followed with a nice malt base and low bitterness.
The third beer released by Simple Roots is a gose which I am looking forward to trying.
