Moat Mountain is my go to lunch spot when I have meetings in the North Conway area and I always enjoy their beer at the smokehouse but I rarely buy cans in the store. With their new brewing facility and increased capacity there will be more cans in distribution so I will start buying more of their beer to review here. I am always looking for another golf beer option; something low ABV, flavorful and preferably in a can. East Intervale IPA caught my eye as it is in a can and only 4.8% ABV.
Appearance is a nice orange color with a thin white head. Aroma was mostly floral and bready malts, nothing too exciting here but it is pleasant and I was not expecting too much from a small beer. Taste is well balanced with the hops providing a reasonably bitter finish after a sweet malty start.
This beer went down easy, did not seem watered down which is always a concern with the low ABV IPAs. Hope to find some fresh cans next year to take out on the golf course.
