Headstache is a collaboration between In’finiti and Oxbow. They got together to brew a dank IPA or DIPA. Not sure where the line is but I have seen some IPAs in the 7.0%+ ABV and some DIPAs like this one in the same range, maybe there are other characteristics that make it a DIPA?
Headstache pours a very clear pale orange with a nice white head. Aroma is a nice resiny pine which is really the first hint that Headstach leans towards the dank side. Taste starts off with a lot of sweet malts but quickly gives way to the dank pine hops. Maybe a bit of citrus in there but the pine resin is certainly the dominant flavor here.
Overall this is a solid DIPA but I prefer big citrus IPAs instead of the dank. If you like yours dank than seek this one out.
