On my first trip to the shared brewery/brew pub of 7th Settlement and One Love Brewery I took home two growlers of beer. There were only 3 beers from the two breweries available so I had limited choices. They have a great space in Dover but I was there mid-afternoon and they stop serving food to transition from lunch to dinner menus so I was not able to try anything from the kitchen.
Decided to start with the pale ale from One Love as I like to test new breweries with their pale or IPA as those tend to the beers I drink most often. One Love’s Pale Ale is what I would expect from a brewpub. Nothing special but certainly drinkable. Pours a deep orange with an off white head. Aroma is mostly sweet malts with only a hint of hops. Taste follows with a nice sweetness from the malts but not a lot happening with the hops.
I wasn’t expecting a lot from the beer and I got what I expected, a drinkable pale ale but nothing I would seek out again.
