This was my third and final blueberry beer to review and it comes from Bar Harbor Brewing. They are actually part of Atlantic Brewing Company but still have a separate brand name. I am happy that both Maine blueberry beers were not the syrupy sweet fruit beers that so many others end up with.
The color of this one is mostly beer – no artificial blue or purple colors. Aroma has some blueberry but also a nice malt character to it.. Taste follows but starts with the malts and ends with the blueberry. Overall a nice beer and the low ABV meant the bomber was gone quickly. I enjoyed the beer but not sure I would buy another.

Brewers Description: This beer is brewed with a blend of barley malts and crushed wheat to gently lighten the body. True Blue is a crisp blueberry ale with an assertive blueberry nose followed by a more subtle blueberry flavor in the body of the beer. We feel you won’t find another beer quite like it.
