449. Oxbow Brewing Sasuga

Oxbow SasugaAnother growlette from Oxbow. Sasuga is one of their brett beers and they only allow 32 ounce fills – no 64 ounce growlers so more people get to enjoy the brett goodness Oxbow is producing.

Appearance is not all that exciting with a nice pale orange color and thin white head. Aroma has some brett funk but also a very nice earthy smell. Hard to describe but if you have had this beer you know what I am talking about. Taste is excellent and not as funky as you would expect for a brett beer. This would be an excellent beer to help introduce someone to brett beers.

My only complaint is it seems a little watered down, maybe it is the low ABV that causes that but overall this is a very enjoyable brett saison.
