395. Geaghan Bros Brewing Capt Kool IPA
While I was at Geaghan’s waiting for Andrew Geaghan to give me a tour I sat at the bar and had a couple of Capt Kool IPAs. I also left with a few Bangor Bottles of it, one for me and a few others to share with some Southern Maine beer lovers. This one is probably my favorite from Geaghan’s so far.
This beer has a fairly typical appearance for an American IPA with a nice pale orange color and thin white head. Aroma is excellent with lots of in your face citrus hops.
Taste is very nice with a strong hop start, switching to a nice sweetness from the malts and some bitterness in the finish but nothing overwhleming. This was an excellent beer that I enjoyed and I know the others I shared Bangor Bottles with did as well.
