383. Aviator Brewing Hogwild IPA

Aviator Brewing Hogwild IPAReceived this beer as part of the Beer It Forward I participated in that was organized by John at Beertography. I received a package from North Carolina including this and several other bombers.

I could not find a date on the bottle so no idea if this was fresh or not which may have been the downfall for this beer. The beer looks great with that thick white head floating above the rim of the glass. Aroma was OK with some citrus and piney hops and a bit of spice.

Taste is just OK with some of the same and surprising refreshing. Overall this is not a bad beer and I could not find a bottle date so it may have suffered a bit if it was not fresh. A decent beer but nothing worth seeking out in trades.

Brewers Description: A golden brew made with Pale Ale and Vienna malts.  A veritable fest of the big “C” hops. Chinook, Columbus, Cascade.  Dry hopped with Magnum, Williamette, and Amarillo.  A very hoppy and refreshing ale.
