306. Breckenridge Brewery SummerBright Ale
Picked up this beer through a local beer trade. Ended up with 2 bottles and my wife actually enjoyed one before I had the chance to review it. This is a summer beer so I was not expecting a lot of flavor.
The beer pours a nice yellow with minimal white head. A fair amount of carbonation but not producing a lot of aroma. Some faint wheat and maybe a bit of lemon but not much in the nose. Taste is what I expect from a Summer brew – mild, pleasant and refreshing. Carbonation seemed a bit heavy and that is really the only thing that is memorable about this beer. It is a Summer beer and if you are looking for something to drink on a hot Summer afternoon this one will hit the spot.
Pros: Refreshing and easy to drink
Cons: Mild in aroma and flavor
Alcohol Content: 4.5% ABV
IBU (Bitterness): 15
